German born, raised in Los Angeles, Shawn Butcher creates in the space between worlds: advertising and film; fashion and music.
He tells stories because he wants people to feel something, giving voice to the authentic, the irreverent, the funny and the sad.
Spending his early years on feature films, and the last decade amassing a wealth of experience both as a director and cinematographer, he carries projects from start to finish with a trained execution and a bred precision to detail and tone.
Some of Shawn’s clients include Fenty, Sephora, Estee Lauder, Saie, Hourglass, Matches, Dove, Happy Socks, Adidas, Stella McCartney & Beats by Dre to name a few.
Shawn is based between London and LA.
